Thanks for your concern re: twisting. Absolutely, twisting moves are not done on the mat ( I've been using an AQUAMAT mat for 1.5 yrs. now).
The aqua mat is primarily to keep me from sliding into the pool! The deck I teach from is one of those zero-entry jobs, and the water SLOSHES out.....over me, over the mats I've used.
AQUAMAT Black Magic are the only mats that stay put. The extra cushioning is nice - but not necessary, I can 'mime' a jump.
Thanks a bunch for your words of caution! I really wish that more vendors were so forthright.
